Provence Matériaux Ancienslocated in Comps in the Gard region of France, is above all a family story that has been going on since 1985. Our passion for old materials has been passed down from generation to generation, with the same high standards of quality and authenticity.
We criss-cross France in search of these heritage treasures:

Our selection
We scour the whole of France in search of these treasures from demolitions and old buildings. Each material is carefully selected for its quality, authenticity and aesthetic potential. We prefer pieces that have stood the test of time and deserve a second life.
Our craftsmanship
In our workshops with our team of more than twenty craftsmen, stonemasons, joiners, carpenters, etc. – we clean, restore and prepare each material with the care it deserves. We also produce custom-made creations, adapted to your specific projects.

Our history
It all began in 1985. When Jean-Jacques Chapelle decided to embark on an adventure that was to become much more than a profession: a true passion for old materials and French heritage.
In the beginning, it was a simple conviction: these stones, these bricks, these floor tiles that bear witness to centuries of craftsmanship should not disappear. They deserved a second chance, a new story to write.
Over the years, our small family business has grown, but always remaining true to our values: authenticity, quality and respect for materials. We have built up a team, each an expert in his or her own field, and expanded our workshops to better serve our customers.
What sets us apart today? Forty years of experience handed down from generation to generation, a keen eye for the finest pieces as we travel the length and breadth of France, and the same unwavering passion that has driven us from day one.
Every piece of material we save from oblivion is a piece of history we preserve for future generations.
From our workshops in the South of France, near Provence, we ship to the whole PACA region. We also export our materials to the United States, in particular to Phoenix and the Southwestwhere natural stone and terracotta floors are particularly popular.
